Never had Willie Mae's yet but Jacques-Imo's was very good. Wife stole my plate and couldn't stop eating it.

Why is it so trendy to say it's overrated? Because it was featured on a national tv show and they obviously can't get anything right?

I also think it's overrated. I say the same about Coop's Place. Fiorella's is hit-or-miss, depending on who prepares it. Jacque-Imos still uses Austin Leslie's recipe, so it's good. Dunbar's is good. McHardy's is great.

I tried it before it was on a tv show and thought it was over rated. I heard they sold out recently to the owners of the building.

I like it but yes there are better. But I think they do red beans better than anything else. Top five for red beans.
