24/7 Recruiting just put up his senior highlights:

Hill Highlights

It's a shame that it's come to where we are with him currently

My guess is that he's a greyshirt candidate assuming the charges are ultimately reduced to a misdemeanor (something I expect given that he is presumably a first offender).

There's many inappropriate comments I can make here, but I will hold back.

Of course, if this were some other recruit for another school, those comments would have already been made by someone else.

Damn.

He just looks like an LSU back. Plain & simple.

Ok, for star gazers, if Miles waits until the summer to release him, Hill's LOI will temporarily help out on signing day for overall team-ranking as it does now.

But at the Recruiting Bash when Miles gives a thumbnail description of each recruit to the crowd, would Miles talk glowingly about Hill's skills he is bringing to LSU and just ignore the purple elephant in the room?

I just can't see Miles trying to slip him past the well-informed recruitnik nerds without mentioning at the very least some generic "we are waiting to hear more information" line. And that's if this particular publicly embarrassing dilemma doesn't make Miles pull his schollie before Signing Day just at the hint of impropriety.

Like, [ETA: NM, not worth getting banned]

Or something like that.

i think the best case scenario would involve the charges being dropped (likely) and he signs. That is the best case.

The more likely scenario (and a tough decision) would be him getting probation (albeit lenient one to where he can leave the state), he still signs and miles and lsu will probably get blasted by the media.

another scenario would be the above scenario with miles pulling his scholly and he signs with another school

and the least likely scenario (imo), is he gets charged for a felony, and get's a pretty lengthy probation, registers as a sex offender and will pretty much be done in anywhere he goes.

What i would like to know is, what are the character traits of this young man? Does he get in alot of trouble (ala, RP, Carter, cecil, odom). Or is this a one time thing?

This is just IMO, and i think it is still a salvageable situation.

(i am assuming that it was consensual btw, and if it wasn't then none of this matters)

While I think Hill is better, it's like comparing a 4-3 end to a 3-4 end. The 3-4 end (Hilliard) just pounds on you and wears you out. The 4-3 end (Hill) shows more speed, but doesn't have quite the strength the 3-4 end does

Good Analogy. Depending on scheme and play call each has a slight edge in certain areas. Sadly Mr. Hill may not get the chance to display that. If in fact he is guilty of the alleged offense he's got serious issues to deal with in the near future. Much more serious than trying to avoid SEC linebackers on Saturday night.

From what the reports say he pressured a girl into performing oral sex. I think the biggest stink is she was 14. Thats not good. But i don't know if pressured and forced are the same thing.

I am reserving judgement ultimately.

at work, can't see the video. I'm assuming that he lays a couple of shots that are money, though.

DA can't change what the law says and the judge can't fdo anything about it either. This is espeially true if there was video evidence and the school turned it over NOT the parents. It is the people vs. J Hill not the minor he was presumably with.

Nothing btw them could ever be "consensual" as you stay since she was 14!

DOES NOT MATTER FOR FORCED albeit the sentence will likely be less. If he gets charged by the DA in BR, he is toast since the school alledgedly turned over the video. Why would the DA make that charge a felony?
