re: Why do we oversign?

Not every kid turns out to have the talent, attitude, drive, or smarts needed to be a productive member of the team. I imagine the coaches are more willing to overlook a slight lack of talent if there are no attitude or effort problems. But the fact remains, some kids choose to do things that make them expendable, and for that reason, we need people to slot in behind them.
