Western Montana/Wyoming is gorgeous. I could live in West Yellowstone.

I love this glacier picture!
That place is amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a road trip there some day if you could. It looked amazing every direction you looked for miles and miles. That picture was a really short hike too right off the side of the highway, maybe 45 minutes to get to the top.

Such a beautiful place
I remember a thread a while ago saying that you were going to go to some of the exact same places that I had gone the previous summer. That area was amazing. How did that backcountry trip go?

I'm not sure how often you check that alternate email, but I sent you a response a few days ago, just a heads up... and thanks again for the help.

Black Bear I saw swimming among the icebergs near the S. Sawyer Glacier, Tracy Arm/Fords Terror Wilderness. Walls are extremely steep and never had seen one swimming in the ice before.
Bear hauled out exhausted on a piece of ice.
Salt Chuck, Amalga Harbor. One of my favorite day hiking areas.
Our wake. Hauling it through Tracy Arm wilderness area.
Amalga Harbor. One of my favorite "jumping off points." Located on the Lynn Canal, North Americas largest natural fjord.
Brotherhood Park, The Towers and Mendenhall Glacier
West Glacier trail, Mendenhall Glacier rec area.

Waterfall, Tracy Arm. T.A. is a Yellowstone like valley in tidewater. It is 1,000 to 1,300 ft deep and the cliffs are 2,000 to 5,000 ft high. There are hundreds of waterfalls, some cascading thousands of feet.
Small boat in Tracy Arm
Mendenhall State Game Refuge at low tide. Waterfowl area. My house is across the channel at the base of the mountain in the background.
Sandy Beach and the Taku Inlet. Mountains in the background border the Taku River. Incredibly beautiful river where a lot of local residents have cabins.
Small boat harbor. One of six. Mostly commercial fishing vessels in this one.
Gastineau Channel, Low tide and Douglas Island.
Some random valley, Tracy Arm. Landed our zodiac on the beach and went up exploring a bit. Lots of black bear there.

Roger, your pics are fantastic. Are they all from your camera?
I really enjoy all of the pics that appear to have been taken on hunting and fishing trips from other posters too.
Great work guys keep it up.

Most. A couple were not but I noted which ones above the photo.

I do to, just trying to keep the thread fresh. I can see the scenery I post every day and hope to see more from others as well. Used to have a boatload from Bayous Dorcheat and Bodcau, but my ex ended up with em.

Thinking about possibly going through and collecting some of these images and putting them in a photobucket account. Maybe linking it in this thread. As people put in photos, add to the page. Could organize it into categories. Dunno, just a thought. OB board outdoor photos.....something like that. Just a way of putting all the photos in thumbnail form for people to peruse.

Yeah, I wouldn't do anything without the input of you fellas, don't want to step on toes. It helps me keep in touch with some of the vistas I grew up with down in the gulf coast area. I have enjoyed this thread as much as any.
