Either your memory is cloudy or your judgment is. During Faulk's freshman season, Eddie Kennison was the man. Faulk's best year as a punt returner was in 96 when he got 375 yds on 24 returns. PP7 just pulled in 418 on 26. Holliday's best was when he got 362 on 20.
Faulk does not appear on any top 10 lists as a kick returner. PP7 just had the best season in LSU history as a kick returner. Second place is not even close.
1. Peterson 932 yds on 32 carries
2. D. Davis 618 yds on 25 carries
3. Holliday 609 yds on 27 carries
