Is it just me or has the anti-Miles talk totally subsided?

Since the Miles announcement, I haven't seen any anti-Miles posts. Cautious optimism? Acceptance? New OC? Whatever it is, I'm sensing a whole new optimism on the Rant. The pendulum has swung to the Posi-Tigers!

I think a lot of the hostility was towards Crowton or the Offense and now people believe there is hope.

1) He won 11 fricking games this year with beyond sub-par QB play.

2) He got rid of the perceived problem and is bringing in one of the top QBs in the country.

3) He's bringing in one of the best recruiting classes ever at LSU.

How the frick could anyone really be too negative right now??

We won our last game and the Michigan fiasco temporarily obscured some of the dissatisfaction.

The truth, however, is that Miles remains the same exact coach who botched Ole Miss 2009, Tennessee 2010, and Arkansas 2010. His teams are still inconsistent and play down to their competition far too often. We haven't won the West in three years. The fact that MIles was wooed by UM doesn't actually change his flaws or strengths.

I want to see another SEC title before I fete Miles.

Sometimes he can be a fricking retard. I don't need to list examples. But he beat Florida and Bama, won our bowl game and finished 11-2. So I'm to the point that I can say that yes, he is sometimes a retard, but he's our retard. I feel most nega-tigers are beginning to feel this way.

we live in a myopic, local, theatrical world...there are very few people who can see big picture anymore. In addition, many see him righting the ways that caused the 08-10 downside, so they are seeing reasons to believe.

2 things:
- He's going to be here for next decade unless he loses 12 games in any 2 years, so there'll be plenty of time to criticize if it's warranted.
- We've only played one game in over a month and it was a great performance.

Given those, you'd have to be itching for a fight to air negative thoughts about what has happened in the past. Best we can do now is hope that all of the talent Miles has stockpiled translates into championships.

Its all gonna play out. We go back to Atlanta next year and I will be happy. If Les doesn't go back to Atlanta in the next couple of years its all gonna be taken care of. There should be no more excuses. Positigers can't blame the whole thing on Crowton anymore. These 2 years tell Les future. If he makes a good hire on the OC we will be fine.

My biggest beef was with Crowton. I don't mind Miles as much, just think we need to finally make clock management a thing of the past, and I hope this new OC can fix that.

Also, maximizing our player's strengths are a must. Like letting our receivers go vertical more often. They're all big and fast. At least a quarter of our passes should go more than 15 yards downfield.

I think for the first time since Cholly Mac people look at Miles and think "That's OUR coach. He WANTS to be here, he is PROUD to be here, he is a TIGER," and it makes them proud to be a Tiger.

They are in a deep state of depression because of the 7 year contract.

yes it has subsided.

We are still in the midst of OC hunting.

We are quite in the midst of recruiting.

so, few feel the need to soil our nest.

We shall see. Getting rid of OC Crowton was a great balm for many.
