Gary Crowton always called a decent game, in my opinion---but he was limited by the quarterback's inability to execute the offense.
The real problems that need to be addressed are the quarterback and the offensive line. The team needs a good developer of quarterbacks, and better technique is needed in the offensive line (on a consistent basis).
Crowton could make offensive adjustments, but they didn't show because of the lack of execution.
We might also want to look at the wide receivers coach---I noticed a difficulty of our receivers getting open at times.
WTF?!?!?!

Doesn't matter who's fault it was.
The offense is his job. It declined for 3 yrs. This means you are moving on. Doesn't matter if the QB play added to it...its his job to fix it.
My problem with the Crowton years is identity. Our offense didn't have one.
I care more about that then who the new OC will be. We need to decide what we will be and then go full force that direction. Stop trying to be a smashmouth, playaction, 4 wide-out, option running, zone-read team. It doesn't work. Defense don't have to "prepare for more". They just sit back and wait for us to screw up.
