Does anyone know any boards(websites) for Maryland. I am very curious on what are there thoughts on Crowton possibly coming in as OC.

yeah because Terp officials are watching message boards to gauge the validity of their choice.

Quite humorous...they think that all we needed was a drop-back passer to be successful...
They are correct, I think Crowton's offense would have put up huge numbers with a drop-back passer. He will be a great hire. Please, for the love of God, take him now.

Considering the last DC was a K State reject, I'd say an LSU reject is an upgrade.
Sad state of affairs there at Maryland. I almost feel sorry for them.

We would see a BYU/LaVell Edwards type passing game.I say go for it.

A good drop-back passer would have made a difference, at least in '08 and '09, and might have made a meaningful difference in '10.

They need to be warned about the option to the short side.

I think the field at Maryland is 75 yards wide, so the short side option should work nicely there.

If history repeats itself......the Maryland Offense will improve next year for sure.
I wish GC the best.....he did assist in bringing us a NC in 2007.
No need to bash the guy....but it was time for him to go.

Crowton is a better version of Taeffe. With a stud QB in Danny to work with, our offense would flourish. He's not a recruiter. Middle aged in 50's now. We would see a BYU/LaVell Edwards type passing game.I say go for it.

Someone tell me why this is good? Why do we want a guy that a legit program just wants to be rid of?
I would be wondering the same thing to the second quote. Wow, thanks for that site. It is hilarious some of the post on there. All kidding aside, I hope he does well for them.

Crowton has been a lot of places, had some success, but also has had a ton of failure.
He's been to 3 different places that were all THRILLED to get rid of him. To me that's a red flag. Maybe fans aren't always the best barometer of how good a coach is, but when you basically have fans from 3 different schools laughing at the idea of you hiring him....regardless of where he's coached, that doesn't sit right with me.
Uh-oh...they're on to us.

Where are their boards, I would like to congratulate them.

if you read the entire thread on our board, you will see that we have been tracking this situation from your board and that many MD fans are aware and concerned about GC's track record across multiple programs
obviously we hope to get a bump in the first year (and maybe for all of Danny O'Brien's remaining yrs at MD), but will be watching to see how he does with the Terps
IMO, we aren't downgrading from James Franklin and could have done a lot worse.. we'll see
good luck in your search for your next OC
