When I just want a high end dessert, we go to Emeril's or NOLA at the bar and Arnaud's for tableside bananas foster at the bar or in the jazz room.
This only works on slow nights though.
Herbsaint works for this as well.

If you haven't tried the banana crepe at Meauxbar that's pretty good. Almost impossible not to like if you like bananas foster.
I'm a big fan of carrot cake and the one at Coquette is as good as any I've tried. I like it because it's not too heavy on the icing like I think a lot of them are.
