No more excuses. A QB with the talent and some experience will be there and the OL, WR & RB will be loaded or at the very least solid.
Next year will tell us if it was Crowton, JJ, JL or Miles that keep this offense from scoring? I think it was JJ doing the best he could but just not being able to get to that next level the past couple of years. Three years ago it was the lackor leadership on the OL. Here is to JJ keeping us in the game. It could have been worse, just ask Michigan.

Frankly, I'd rather have someone else coaching Mett and the rest of the offense.

We don't need an OC whose offense requires superior talent at ANY position.

there is absolutely no logical argument for retaining crowton

The fact that Crowton is working with Zack makes me worry more about Zack's performance

For the love of all that is holy, why is this fricktard still on our staff??

Are you serious? A successful offense depends critically on superior talent and hard practice. You simply must have this to be even average at the national level.

I agree. BUT for the sake of conversation, what if he over achieved with less?? What could he do with a fully loaded team? I assume that if Les was going to get someone else, he would have done it by now? You tell me

3 days is more than enough

I'm sure some local high school or community college is searching for a QB asst. coach or something.

What if Les had is hand in the offense more than we think? I want new OC too, but this reminds me of the same thing with Les' first year with Jimbo.

Your theory would hold more weight if Crowton wasn't a screw-up at every single previous coaching gig.

I know quite a few LA Tech football players who were there when Crowton coached, and they will swear up and down that Les has his hand in the offense more than GC.

When we had a major problem on Defense, Les made a quick change. If he doesn't make the change this year, I think I'm right.

then what is Crowton's excuse for producing declining offenses at his previous stops? Was Les at BYU or La Tech getting his hands into everything?

We were saying the same thing when Jimbo was here in 06. We scored 3 points against Auburn with Jamarcus, Early, and Bowe.

I've watched that game over and over. Play-calling, regardless of how much some on this board will claim, was NOT why LSU lost that game. The officials dictated that game, and there were at least half a dozen game altering calls/no calls that went against LSU which have been well-documented and fumed about for the last five years. Jimbo was not the problem that day.

When we went hurry up toward the end of the half and the end of the game we moved the ball! When we went down field, we were successful. The majority of plays were stretch plays with Justin Vincent. Fact.

We could throw on anyone with that talent but we ran power plays with JV.

Does that sound familiar? We have talent but aren't utilizing it?

regardless of whether you dislike Crowton or you see him as just the next in a long line of Miles scapegoats, it is CLEAR that he and Miles can no longer co-exist. Right or wrong, it is time for a change.

The offensive line coaching and development has been very poor and unacceptable for quite some time as well, though.
