can't just come out and publicly state that LSU is working on a new deal for him and that he is hoping it gets panned out so I can stay where I want to and that's LSU?

I just have an uneasy feeling with him right now with all of this going on.

The interview after the Cotton Bowl still bugs me. He showed no interest, no fight, nothing.

Let's say he is staying. What will his presser entail. I want to see some enthusiasm some fire some fight.

Remember the OK State video of him showing his love for his team? That is the kind of stuff I want to see.

No advantage for him to do so.

I do think it is BS that lsu can't inform it's donors and fans of what is going on!

Dude, you people overthink this stuff. There is no set in stone way these things are supposed to be handled and there is no way a coach is going to come out and say anything that makes everyone happy. No matter what he says or how he says it, someone is going to be pissed off.

The agents/lawyers and people who sign the checks are making a business decision right now. When the time is right, Les will speak and say something that has meaning. Until this it is just fluff and the internet crowd is just going to have to deal with it.

It's a contract negotioation (with us or Mich). If he publicly states his deires, he loses leverage.

Smart business move. He's not as dumb as many here think.

Think about what you said. If he did that, Michigan would be gone in a heartbeat, and his negotiating leverage with LSU would be gone with it. It's business, and you have to approach it like business. Which is to say, like war.

Why would he show fight after such an arse whooping?

I personally think Les was just thinking about the gut-wrenching decision he was about to be forced to make. Stay at a place that he loves or go back home. It's a tough decision and he's handling it like a professional. We forget sometimes that coaches are still human beings from time to time.

Look - he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. If he said he was staying at LSU to get all of us yahoos off of his back and then ended up going to Michigan, this fanbase would crucify him.

The guy has a job he currently loves, but the company where he always wanted to work is offering. He's got a a wife and four kids. The media and the fanbase is on him like a glove. Cut the man some slack!
