All you guys that shoot archery tournaments, will know about this.... Moving through stations at normal distances, (18-30 yards), shooting deer, turkey, hog targets, and then busting out on a highline and seeing a moose or standing bear at about 50-60 yards will make most new shooters pop them in the kneecaps.. The size of the animal makes it appear much closer than it is.. Hilarious to watch, frustrating to experience..This was much more prevalent back in the days when bows weren't quite as fast, which meant that distance judging was much more important.
