Can we make this happen? I'm sure he wants a chance at playing for a winner.

I'm sure he wants a ton of money too. We'd also like him to be about five years younger.

Some desperate team will give him a massive deal that they'll regret a few years down the road.

He already has the cheese (assume he hasn't blown it yet lol). At this stage in his career the only thing he hasn't done is win

These guys, especially Greer, got burned this year a lot more than I'd like. I understand some of the reason for this is a poor pass rush, but they still didn't perform as well as they should have.

Greer is good but has seen better days. I think Nnamdi has at least two years as a 'shutdown' corner left.

Probably...not sure I'd want to give him a shitload of money for two years though.

A piss-poor front 7 can make excellent corners look average. The secondary was by far the strength of a top-5 defense this year w/ a piss-poor front 7. We lost that playoff game without our best DB.

I get what you're saying but Greer just didn't look like himself. Our pass rush wasn't much better last year and Greer looked great. Maybe he has just lost a step.

I don't think he's lost a step at 28. He has struggled with his health but if you look at this season, very few wide receivers had big games against our secondary. Running backs and tight ends have hurt us, but not many receivers. Most of the time, you don't notice Jabari because he's been solid and not many balls go his way. He hasn't had the stellar season he had last year, but he's been solid. DBs are a lot like offensive linemen in that you don't really notice them unless they frick up.

And I will say the pass rush hasn't been as good this year as last. Will Smith looks fat and slow this year after he was an absolute terror last year. Alex Brown is worthless as a pass rusher, although he's solid against the run. The only way Williams is able to create pressure on opposing QBs is w/ crazy blitzes that leave our corners vulnerable.

He's 29. Will be 30 at the start of next season. He's a great corner but some team will probably overpay and give him a long deal. Charles Woodson and Ronde are the only CBs I can think of recently that have been great in their mid 30s

Peterson is going to be picked in the top 3, you would have to trade a lot to get that high in the draft.

Nnamdi is and has been one of the top corners in the NFL the past couple years. He is getting closer to 30 but should be good for another 5 years. Yes some team will over pay him, he will be in high demand.

I find it funny that his stat line for the year is a measly 19 tackles (with assists) and 6 passed defended with 0 interceptions. I guess they really don't throw at the guy but that seems extraordinarily low.

By comparison, Revis has 32 tackles, 10 passes defended, with 0 interceptions through 13 games, one less that Nnamdi.

Signing this guy would be a luxury, a luxury we prolly can't afford given the amount of fa's we have coming up, drew's contract, and the attention that our front 7 needs on defense.

No. He would want a ton of money and he is too long in the tooth for that sort of thing.

I think our secondary play against Seattle was an anomoly. We shouldn't do a bunch of knee jerk stuff in reaction to that.

not sure it was that much of an anomaly, when you consider how we played Seattle at home earlier this season. Greer got abused all night.
