I thought PP was soft last night, not coming up to support the run, but A&M worked him on the timing routes, outs and dig routes. Nevis, I agree, was a non factor last night. Looked like they were playing not to get hurt.

It looked like Peterson was man to man all night and the safeties were playing over the top of Morris Claiborne/Simon and Tyrann Mathieu.

What this means is that the other two CB's can be aggressive and take chances on balls because they know the safety is over the top to help.

However if Patrick Peterson is alone in coverage his job is not to be aggressive it is to cover the guy and if the ball is completed make good tackles, because if he gets out of position or misses a tackle it will be a touchdown.

It seemed to be the same scheme LSU has played all year and he did what he was asked to do.
