The hawks were a surprise. They came by every day in daylight. I got about six hundred pics on this card.

Weekend before last I shot the front shoulder three times with a 12 ga at ten feet with number 8s. None of them penetrated the shield. They made little shot glass sized divots in it. I'm looking at the pics and they never got into those hole big till yesterday. Then last night those two coyotes got in there and the neck and cleaned that sucker up all the way down through the shield, past the spine, into the other shoulder.
That's some fat and happy coyotes and birds right there. That was probably forty pounds of meat in a night.

Im still amazed it too this long. Mine (as posted) are all devoured within 3 days max from time of kill.
