no not a bad call probably let the whistle come to late but becuase he broke a tackle that would have the forward progress it was a good call becuase of the no whistle

Nope, good call.

ETA: should have been whistled dead before that, but because it wasn't that was the correct call.

Could have been called either way IMO.

I thought it was a good call. The RB got away from the initial tackler and tried to keep going

So every time a guy gets thrown into the endzone the defender should just let him go and have someone else tackle him for a safety?

Spot on. It was the correct call, but they should have blown the whistle earlier.

The fact it was a safety wasn't a bad call. The fact the whistle wasn't blown before that was a bad call.

Might have been a good call but in my opinion the linesman was a pussy for not making it right away. Waiting to hear what his Referee said before he decided on his spot.

It was the right call. Your linebackers/safeties got away with some pass interference underneath on several occasions, so I wouldn't exactly be fussing about officials.

Not a bad call at all. Shut up Buckeye, and take off your Bucknut glasses.

He broke a tackle and tried to go forward. He got tackled in the end zone. Safety. Done deal.

No...he got away from the defender & then made a football move. Dude osu got their 1st penalty on the last play of the 3 rd quarter...I think the sugar bowl president got to the refs just like he influenced the ncaa on osu's behalf

The RB shouldn't try to regain momentum, unless he thinks he can get out of the end zone.

Ok well every time a receiver gets a 1st down and gets thrown back behind the first down marker just let him go and tackle him again and you can stop him short

Similar play happened in the LSU/Auburn game. Once the running back broke the tackle in the endzone and started forward it became a safety.

Should they have blown the whistle? That is a different question.

If he would have let them drive him out the back of the endzone it would not have been a safety.

NOT A BAD CALL...probably a late whistle.

It was a bad interpretation. No forward progress was given, after the tackle was shed, they started from there. I could see why, but it was not what I would have ruled.

It was actually the right call since the refs never stopped forward progress
