Seems like a great way to get coals burning in a hurry. Would take a while I think to master the temp though. First couple of BBQ's may be about 900 degrees.

A good friend of mine has one and it cooks great and evenly and they have many different flavored pellets to cook over. His is a Traeger (I believe), but I just miss the charcoal/smoke flavor when eating something that was cooked on it.
Going over there tonight for NYE and am taking my own grill.
