This story was told to me by a friend who was a really good friend of the guys son. i used the term financial advisor bc that is what my friend telling me the story made it sound like he was. he did go to south america for a long time and came back. there were no legal ramifications for his actions when he came back from what i understand. and when he came back he reached out to his 'old' family and was shunned.
