Just watched I'm Still Here. I found it entertaining but I'm surprised Phoenix would be willing to do that. That was pretty risky stuff. The whole movie had an odd feel. Like you knew it was a joke, but they absolutely refused to admit it. They even reference the fact that people are accusing them of it being a hoax and go out of their way to deny it. I thought that was really unnecessary. Why try to shove it down your throat that it's real just to admit it's not eventually. His offensively bad raps and a few of the over the top scenes gave it away. Making people think it's real just kind of ruins the brilliance of it IMO. If you watch it realizing it's an act, you appreciate his acting and his ability to portray the mid life crisis. If you think it's real, I'd imagine you'd just think he was fricking weird and borderline despicable. Choosing the latter was an odd choice to me.
