Spoke with Mr. King this morning.
Tiger Band is not able to perform pregame at the
Cotton Bowl. A&M is the home team and the only
one able to perform.

As of this afternoon Cotton Bowl sent an email saying that LSU will perform for pregame!!!!

Really? If true, what a bunch of bullsh*t. It's supposed to be a bowl game at a nuetral site.

Less practice for us.

But it's pretty upsetting, I love the crowd reaction we get.

if true this is against bowl rules and someone should make the conference aware of this. Bowls are supposed to be neutral. Only allowing one team's band to perform shows an obvious bias.

So, I guess this means we won't get to hear Tiger Band at all then since they never play in the stands anymore.

Which half time show are we going to get to see again?

There is one obvious answer to this, the band standing at attention and every Tiger fan in the stadium turns away from the field while thier program is underway. When the last note in played, band pulls and about face, the drums start playing. BOOM!!

This is BS. Go to the Cotton Bowl web site and read the scroll about both bands being allowed to perform their pre-game rituals.

Jeff – LSU band will be performing pre-game on the field after the Texas A&M band. Thanks for your note.

If everything is correct:

1. if Roy King did indeed confirm that LSU would not be doing it's traditional on-field Pregame like the OP indicated AND
2. Neither Oklahoma State or Ole Miss did their traditional on-field Pregame in last year's Cotton Bowl

THEN.... that means the Cotton Bowl changed their minds today and will allow LSU (and A&M) to do their traditional on-field pregames... Good for the Cotton Bowl if so.
