no one is starting shite. As of 10:00 this morning and when I posted this, Tiger Band was not performing pregame. It wasn't until this afternoon that the Cotton Bowl put that both bands would perform pregame on twitter...

Not calling you a liar but someone is playing fast and loose here and I doubt it is the Cotton Bowl.

per Roy King:

"About two weeks ago, we were told by the Cotton Bowl that LSU would not be allowed to perform at pre-game. We made our feelings known on this issue but were told the decision was final. Thanks to the letters, emails, and phone calls made by you folks, our fans, etc., I am happy to announce that we will perform at pre-game. Never underestimate the power of our fans (and their unequaled support of what you do)"

5 Pages about pre-game and bands?? And y’all make fun of Aggies? The irony is strong with some on here…

Hey, can y’all play that SEC original? The ditty where the band makes some noise and then y’all yell “Go Tigers, or Gators or Rebels or Kats or Hogs or Tide or whatever over and over? Then more band noise and y’all repeat the “Go _____“and then erupt like something original just happend? That’s an SEC treat for noobs !!

yes. 5 pages about one team being able to perform its normal pregame routine while another team and fans are jipped out of theirs at a supposed "neutral" site event.

go back to texags and circle jerk about pulling a 3 star recruit. its what you ags do best.

Well they can't talk trash about SEC football so I guess they feel the only thing they have to resort to is trash talking the bands. And to think, he made fun of us for going on pages about it.

Not talking shite about bands. Have no reason nor interest to do so. I was always under the premise that bowls were neutral and thought it makes for a true bowl environment when both get to do their things. Honestly just thought that 5 pages on band smack was a bit odd. How this makes me a redneck, not sure, but too each their own. Some of you are really good/enjoyable to banter with, others not so much, but that goes with the territory I’d rather smack many Ags given the chance. Lighten up bitches!!

It's pretty easy to march back and forth across the field over and over. I had to sit through the Aggie pregame at the Independence bowl last year.

I was there too. Although I will say the Aggie band is pretty darn good by military band standards, I'll still take the Tiger Band over any band in the nation any day.

I like LSU's band and the pre-game march out/spell out etc. It like most good bands is what is great about unique college football environments. Just as A&M's band is a true one of a kind.

Jacket pride city wide! Your sir/mam or an idiot.

Mike- No doubt, if 17-18 yr old inner city FB studs could get on board with "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" the sky would be the limit! I agree with you, but serioulsy you are comparing apples to satsumas here. You obviously agree with what I said otherwise you would have moved on. Merry Christmas, or Happy Season, whichever applies.

I do commend the Cotton Bowl people for changing their mind, but it was a little bit condescending of the Cotton Bowl to say "to put the rumors to rest, both bands will be performing pregame."

Actually, it wasn't a rumor. It was true, and they changed their minds after getting bombarded with emails and call from LSU people.
