A few pictures from first split.

Here are a few pictures from first split of duck season.

This is from the friday after thanksgiving. 4 of us shot our limit by like 930 that morning. 8 teal. 8 grays. 6 buffleheads. a black mallard and a mottled.


Me and my dog from the same day.




This is from opening morning. Me and a buddy shot our limits by 730. 6 teal. 3 grays. 3 hollywood birds.

to date for the season we have shot 60 in 5 days of hunting.

Nice. I have heard the hunting has been great so far. With this cold weather and drought in Arkansas and MS the second split could be even better. Hopefully some french ducks will show up in the marsh.

Yea there are a lot of birds in the area. Opening morning was sick. We could have killed 50 by 830 easily. They got shot out by the end of the first split though. They will be back bc the ponds are loaded with food. The opening of the mrgo is the best thing to happen to that area.

Teal 14
Spoonies 6
Greys 5
Woodducks 6
Pintails 4
And yes Mergansers 3

Beautiful dog. Looks small. Would love to one day find a smaller than normal lab.
