Huntfield Labrador Retrievers. They are in Mississippi. I got a fox red lab from them and he's a great dog.

Just got one from Bear Creek on the Bayou Kennel in Slaughter (near Zachary, LA) and he has been great so far. His picture is in my avatar. I just sent him off for schooling at 4 months 1 week. Time for him to shape up.

Edit to say: they are a little pricey but have some of the best looking yellow labs I have seen and I have had yellow labs my whole life.

I'll give you a range:

Labs (full bred with papers) in the classified paper not from a lab trainer- $200-$400 usually.

Labs (full bred with parents with some sort of hunt test/field trial awards) from a lab breeder-$600-$1,500.

My lab in the avatar was somewhere near the middle to upper range. My first/second lab was from a good blood line 25 years ago and was basically a pet, not a great retriever. 3rd lab was out of the paper and was an ok hunting dog but got hit on the road and died at 1.5. 4th lab was from a reputable breeder and was a great pet and hunting dog (he cost $750 I think). And this is my 5th lab and it's too early to really tell.

One of our dogs is pretty sick. When she goes I will be getting a lab for duck hunting.

About the only place that i will be looking is Wildrose Kennels in Oxford, MS. They only breed Scottish and UK labs. They will be expensive but it what i want and I have several friends that own dogs from them and they are all great dogs a great hunters

yea we figure we wont pay more than 1200

Mine was around that price and I never thought I would pay that much but his dad was such a good looking dog. He is more of an english lab (stocky build and block head).

Got a lab from a fireman in Ragley. He's 5 years old and retrieved over 80% of the ducks/geese I've killed. Great housedog too. No papers, don't need any.
