Yes it does matter for respect and next season's rankings...afraid we will lose?
Location is a selfish reason...I say play the best team available and I guarantee that Texas A&M ain't it:)

The bowls get to choose, so how is it a dodge?
LSU is not going to decline an invite to the cap 1 to avoid playing Michigan St.
