Can't really figure y'all out ...

You start off the season by pounding UNC, but almost let 'em come back in the 4th. Looks like your rushing D is phenomenal, but they absolutely light you up in passing yardage. Your offensive production is balanced.
Vandy - you pile up 17 points in the 4th Q. Get a good # of yards on the ground. Defense does what they're suppose to do against Vandy.
Miss. St. - Man y'all were just killin' 'em with field goals. Seems y'all's offense was struggling in this one, and the scoreboard doesn't tell the entire story. Miss. St. gained more total yardage but failed to convert.
West Virginia - nice D performance. Passing game really struggled.
UT - nice D again. Rushing game wins the game in a last second TD.
Florida - nice D again. Almost lost it in the 4th but came back. Another nail biter.
McNeese St. - D performs the same against them as you do against upper-echelon SEC teams. Offense is unimpressive, despite the score.
Auburn - holy crap they unloaded on your run D. What do y'all attribute that to? Amazingly, if you had an offense you could've won this game.
Alabama - What a tear y'all had to start off the 4th Q. Y'all's run D stepped up and did an incredible job against Bama's rushers. Gotta respect this win.
ULM - D did what they were supposed to do. Offense underwhelmed.
Ole Miss - The battle of failed 2-pt. conversions, it appears. I can see what y'all are saying about playing to your competition, 'cause y'all almost managed to lose this thing. Ole Miss ran on y'all pretty good in this one. Looks like y'all's offense performed decently, but it took sizable gains for y'all to sustain drives. 3/10 3rd down conversions and 0 4th down conversions. That's frustrating football to watch.
Arkansas - Our common opponent, and a game the Ags feel they would've won if we'd switched QB's prior to the game (JJ tossed a good # of interceptions due to his shoulder being operated on, whereas Tannehill has a quicker release and has thrown few INTs). All that said ... back to your game: Looks like Mallett did his thing and killed y'all through the air on big plays. Your offense didn't help yet again. Essentially shut out of the red zone in the 2nd half of the game. Rushing D did decent.
But y'all weren't there late in the game. This is why I can't really figure y'all out. In some of y'all's midseason games it appeared y'all were a threat in the 4th, but the last couple games y'all broke down. Overall y'all are pretty unpredictable. Offense is predictably mediocre. On defense a standout talent can really take advantage of y'all (Cam in rushing, Mallett in passing).
I see this as being a close one that's decided in the 4th. DeRuyter and our D have been great about shutting offenses down in the 2nd half recently. Judging by the way y'all have sputtered throughout the season, I'm led to believe if A&M enters the 2nd half with a lead it's our game to lose. I think our ground game will struggle at first, but some designed QB runs and play action will open things up. I think A&M scores 17 in the 1st half, and 7 in the 2nd. I think LSU scores 13 in the 1st half - one of which is a special teams TD, and one TD early in the 3rd on a pass play.
Prediction:
A&M 24
LSU 20

YOU SCORED 9 points against a SORRY Nebraska Team that GOT THEIR ASSES handed to them WITH Martinez against UT. Your UT win was a "signature" win.
PLEASE GTFO here!

Its our 4-5 star athletes against your 2-3 star Texas high school 2nd team all district types. It won't be close. Different level of player when you move up from mid-tier to elite.

ALright 2 games where we got lit up on the ground where against Spread/ Option Qb teams. FLorida was right ebhidn them and has the spread part of that formula but not the running QB that burned us so many times.
And its a bowl game in a dome so we willl kill yall. no questions asked.

They're the 5th-ranked D in the nation. And Martinez was only out for the 2nd quarter. He was a non-factor against our D regardless.
We didn't play UT. And I think I'll STFH.

We played Arky closer than y'all did with our scrub athletes. Climb down from the horse or risk a hard fall sir.

As a fan of the team that played BOTH A&M and LSU I would just like to point out one HUGE difference in our game against the Tigers Vs. our game against your Aggies.
When we played Texas A&M we had absolutely NO rushing attack that had to be accounted for. When we played LSU we had established a TB that although he had only seen large numbers of carries in 6 games had over a 1000 yards on the season.
Of the two teams in question I would say that LSU was/is BY FAR the better of the two and will pound Texas A&M by 17-24 points, should they actually meet in the Cotton bowl.
Now, don't try and accuse me of wearing some SEC type sunglasses, because I genuinely like Texas A&M and had hoped that they would become a member of our conference...................but we all know that never materialized.
I like both programs, but honestly feel that LSU took our best shot and at our place, not on a neutral field and is a much better team at the present time than is A&M.
Good luck to both programs and here's to hoping for an injury free contest for both programs.

How so? I honestly don't know much about him but am on here to learn.
Jerrod was an absolute stud last year, but had shoulder surgery and wasn't 100% right going into the season. He was a little off on his throws to start out ... worked out OK against non-conference scrubs but against higher-level opponents (read Arky) the injury showed and INTs resulted.
Tannehill has good wheels, makes decisions quickly, and is pretty accurate too. He's not going to wow anyone in one particular area, but he's efficient enough to win.

LMAO, even Tigers fan will disagree with you on this. It will be a slow paced physical game, you have no clue if you think this will be a blowout either way.

Hogules - I don't mind you saying that at all, but as a football fan I'm sure you'll recognize that A&M has improved since we played y'all too.
Funny you mentioned a 1,000 yard rusher that only got significant carries in 6 games. That happened for us as well with Cyrus Gray.
Our offensive line has 2 freshman tackles, who have both matured a lot throughout the season. Y'all got a lot of pressure on JJ that y'all wouldn't get on Tannehill now. Looking forward to playing y'all in Jerryworld next year since we return much of our team.

Thanks for this profound observation. I have no clue as to our offensive woes and recognize your obvious football acumen. Will you please find us an OC & QB. Thanking you in advance.

No you aren't....you're on here to bitch and argue. If you were on here to learn, then you would ask a question and keep your mouth shut. Instead, you argue about the answers to the questions that YOU ask. If you want to learn...then read, absorb, and STFU.
