According to a player on the team, a representative from the Sugar Bowl was at the team's workout this morning.

the fact LSU didnt even give us the option of selection the sugar bowl in our bowl package leaves me with little hope that we will be playing there

Student's only had Cotton, Cap 1, and Outback to choose from. It will be one of those three. The Sugar Bowl will either host South Carolina or Arkansas.

Well the state of Louisiana does give money to the Sugar Bowl every year. It would only make sense considering college football (BCS) is appearing more and more corrupt.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Imagine the meltdown in Ar-Kansas if LSU gets the bid over the bacon.

irrelevent. 10-2 LSU that lost to Ark. 10-2 Ark that beat LSU. c'mon.

please think before you click submit.

I mean, I would love for that to happen but I would bet you a few grand(and I dont have that $ to bet with this down economy) that LSU would not be selected over Arky for the sugar.

Cripes, settle down. He didn't say "WE'RE GOING TO THE SUGAR BOWL!!!!!!!!!!!"

He was just passing along some information that a team member gave him. Some of ya'll are too quick to jump all over people.

Miles is also telling the players there still is a possibility that they may pick up the bid.

And don't forget, we're still undefeated in regulation in the 2007 season!

So I'm assuming that you'd also bet a few grand that Alabama would not be selected over LSU for the Capital One? The 9-3 Bama that lost to 10-2 LSU?

huh? we're talking about LSU being selected for a bcs bowl vs an opponent for the same bowl with the same record that LSU lost to. you are talking about a non-bcs bowl. at this point LSU is either in cotton or capital one. get with it.
