They sold some standing room tickets to A&M students for the Arkansas game this year when the A&M students sold out their section. The stadium wasn't close to being sold out for that game though

I would venture to say that no Aggie student has ever seen their team win a bowl game, so I'm sure enthusiasm will be there

I can't wait to play these jackasses!

Would they just stop the sell of the tickets until the second team is officially announced?

Each school is allotted a certain amount. Usually around 16-20,000. The remaining are available to the public and sponsors.
Since LSU has not officially accepted any bowl bid, they are not issued any tickets.

Well i ask because yesterday they had tickets available in opposite corners, one corner on the visitor side (SEC side) and the other on the home side (Big 12 side)..I got 8 tickets in the SEC corner but i guess A&M could buy those tickets too?

Surely a better way to spend the off season than what we had to finish on last year in that excuse of a game played in quicksand.
but at least in that venue we would get a shot at playing a top-10 team. I don't know why everyone is so happy about the cotton bowl. Would we really rather play a #18 Aggie team than a #8 MSU team? Am I missing something?
and btw-they replaced the grass with turf at the cap one venue (though, unfortunately, it's still in the hooooood)

This is why the bowl games should announce both teams at once. Here they have announced A&M as a done deal, and the SEC team is strictly speculation at this point.

You're right the opponent is higher ranked in the Capitol One but I'd much rather play aTm then Michigan St.

An Aggie buddy of mine said each school is allotted 15,000 tickets.

Exactly. It sucks that the Aggies are buying up all of the available general admission tickets while LSU fans wait for the official bowl invite..

Look, I'm going to be as honest as I can, even with myself.
This team, right now, with the present offensive staff and QB, along with the starting safeties( who are usually QB's on defense, i.e. Hunt and Steltz) will be better served to play aTm.
A win at a place you are going to open the next season against a team in the NC game, is better than the challenge of a better team elsewhere.
This LSU team is most probably going to play any opponent close, and I would rather come away with the win versus a lesser opponent than take my chances with our passing game and the recent play of our safeties against a stronger opponent.
I'm not scared, just practical. We're a 10-2 team with a chance at eleven wins, that played like an 8-4 team at best.

You're probably right. Not to mention a victory against the Aggies aint a bad victory! They've won like what 6 in a row?

Are we for sure we are going to cotton bowl?

The band had their bowl meeting today and was told it was still up in the air between Cap one, cotton, and outback.

I went ahead and bought two Hall of Fame level tickets section 127, row 4, SEC side last night for $150 a ticket. They are now going for $200 more a ticket.
