To take a team with such shitty QB play the last 3 years and win 8,9 & 10 games and a chance to make it 11 this year is utterly astounding.

SO maybe every coaching award in the book EXCEPT for the award of recruiting a top notch QB? Or perhaps QB development?

I'm shocked we did this well with our QB play the last few years. Look at florida they lose Tebow and their record went down the drain.

He did that. He had RP and he couldn't get his head on straight. He had Zach Lee but he couldn't compete with $5 million. Jefferson was a 3/4 star guy, Lee was a 4 star. I'm with you on the QB development but we still managed those records DESPITE that. Gotta give the man his props.

Makes total sense. Don't recruit and develop a qb so he can win every award in the book.

STFU and read the entire thread. He recruited top QBs. He got a bunch of them here and a few left. Still doesn't change the end results dipshit.

Hmmmmm. Wonder why quality qbs's were never developed, in fact they have regressed. I guess coaching has nothing to do with that. I will, however, give the man his due when it comes to recruiting. Without the quality talent of players he has recruited he would be a 500% coach at best.

Sorry i just can't help it.

LSU PLAYERS should get every award in the book. For the last three years they have had some of the most questionable coaching and won 8,9 & 10 games and a chance to make it 11 this year is utterly astounding.

Really? So Miles can't get any credit for those players being developed? I'll give you time management. That's something we still fricked up against Arky.

The Online played bad last year and miles got it fixed. The Defense was bad a few years ago and Miles got it fixed. His QB's and the OC arent on the same page and Miles will get it fixed. Im sorry but JJ and Lee arent exactly in the same league of QB as Cam or Mallet. We will get a QB this year and everyone will see just what we have been missing.

This could be a good discussion.

Which players have developed under this staff ?

I've never seen a team able to win like this with no solid QB. Yet, people still complain about the QB rotation. Amazing.

I was watching the game next to a typical LSU moron. Any good sequence, normal cheering. Any bad sequence, that fricking Miles. It was comedy.

Hester, Flynn, Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, Cutrera, Doucet, Kelvin, PP7, Jamarcus, Bowe, Ridley, Chad Jones and that's just off the top of my head.

seriously? should we start with the golden clock award? then let's follow up with the prevent coverage award. then let's finish stropng with the golden handcuffs award for the playcalling.

The clock is an issue. No one said it wasn't.
The non-prevent coverage was Chavis' call.
The only thing that's handcuffed this team is QB play and that was the point of this thread. He's still managed to do no worse that 8 wins. Take a look at what UF and Texas are going through with supposedly better QBs.

When will we get to the SEC championship game again? When we do then we can start thinking about awards. Until then if there is an award for mediocrity and inconsistency then the whole coaching staff should get that award.

Miles has not signed a descent qb since he has been at LSU. It is a miracle he has won the games he has with division 2 qb's. He deserves some praise for that but we need an offense NOW!

He could help himself by getting a new OC.

So has does Miles' decison to hire and KEEP Crowton fit into your deliberations?
And as long as you're taking into account the DURATION of having poor QB play, how long does it take a great coach to recognize and correct sucha glaring error? (here, see also, Nutt, Houston).
