At least we're not Bama

I look forward to fewer Bama flags flying around here. I look forward to the Finebaum show tomorrow. Local talk radio started the year talking as if there were only two teams left in the SEC. Bama and Florida. They would dominate for at least the next decade. What a difference a year makes.
Despite my great disappointment at not winning the game against Arky it's been a good year. I hate to see the season end. If we win our bowl game we will have had an outstanding season, particularly considering our QB play. JJ made a vast improvement over the last few games. Hopefully he will carry that confidence into next season. This team exceeded my expectations. We beat Bama and, since I live in Birmingham, that made it even sweeter.
I don't post much. Anything positive on this board usually sinks like a stone and I imagine this post will as well. I don't think all the negative swill i read on here does much other than perhaps sway a future recruits decision to play somewhere else.
I would just like to say thanks to all the team for playing your hearts out. I do have one request. I would like to win a few games next season by a larger margin. The close games cannot be good for my health.
To the team, I never felt like you guys gave anything but your best

seriously? Bama went 14-0 last year, won the ship, and then went 9-3 this year. When we won the ship in 2007, we went 12-2 and then went 7-5 in regular season play the following year. GTFO.

A championship is a championship. Also, lsu will win it all next year mark my words. I've been saying for three years, 2011 we win it all again. And the stars are aligning for it

and I guess losing our starting quarterback AND defensive coordinator had zero impact right? You GTFO.
Good post.
Good post.

man bruh, you are right. I guess I'll just go be Bammer fan now...it would totally suck to be them right now!

What stars you see aligning?
Having to play the probable defending national champs at a neutral site, having all of the teams on the schedule but one bowl eligible, and 6 away games?

We won two championships this decade. The great SABAN blew a 24 to zip lead to their greatest rival. If Miles had done that this board would have blown up.

Saban blew a 17 point lead to the probable heisman trophy winner and a 11-0 team. LSU blew a 21 point lead in 05 to an eventual 5-6 team, at home. Which do you think is a bigger fail?

05 really? Man i would hate to carry that burden for that long. I promise the SABAN loss this year will be talked about in this state for years to come. I don't remember the game you are referring to and i doubt few others do.

I don't think you are understanding what he is trying to say....it is very nice to be a tiger fan in bammer country bc of all the crap they talk. And if your theory holds true you are right we went 12-2 after the mnc and bama is currently 9-3 and could go to 9-4 (which is worse than lsu did following the championship).
Oh and by the way Bama will replace a qb next year and rebuild (see Texas and ole miss).
LSU is primed to have another great season next year. Here is to the bowl game and the future for the Fighting Tigers

You highlight the area you want quoted and hit "copy", hit "reply to post" then paste it in the reply box. Then highlight that and hit the "quote" box next to the emoticans. Then type whatever you want to underneath that.

You can't say GTFO until you have at least 2500 posts. Informal board rule.

easier way....just hit reply to post, scroll down and hilight the info you want quoted, scroll back up and hit the "quote" button...

2005 LSU = 11-2
2010 Bama = 9-4 or 10-3..
I'm not good at math but I'm pretty sure I can figure out the bigger fail..

that's much easier. thanks

Not good at getting seasons right either.
LSU was 11-2 in 2005.
They were 9-3 in 2004, after the BCSCG.

AMEN!! Here in the Florida Panhandle, also known as L.A. (lower alabama) there was this crazy influx of Bama gear. I am still watching the 4th quarter of that game every few nights.
Best of all a Bama fan that I talked to right before the game told me to put my purple and gold on and be prepared to get my butt kicked. GEE, I haven't heard form him since. Same for the Gators, he-he.
Finebaum may not even metion the fact the Bama lost to Auburn, just as he did the LSU loss.

I didn't say anything about '04.. Nor did the guy I was quoting..
And I agree - living in Alabama.. I'm extremely happy that they didn't somehow get into a BCS game and screw us.. The flags are fewer.. the trash talking is non existent.. and more importantly we beat them...
On a practical level - LSU exceeded expecatations..
Bama underacheived.
SO yeah.. I'd rather our position over theirs.
And on a more primal level.. frick YEAH - At least we're not BAMA! We're LSU
