Just noticed that he's playing with Tampa Bay. Yuck. I never really heard why we cut him. It was sort of a surprise that we cut a draft pick. Usually teams give them at least a year. Discipline issues?

Wrong. He was a little raw and needed coaching up, but the Saints got exactly what they expected when they drafted him. He was a casualty of numbers.

Good for Al Woods that he found a team with more need at DT than the Saints.

The Saints need DT help as much as anybody

They traded up to get him in the 4th round and then didnt even bother putting him on the practice squad.

He got cut because he couldnt play

That's not what his position coach told me. You're making assumptions and talking out of your arse. First of all, the Saints do not "have as many problems at DT as anyone". Secondly, if Tampa picked him up and he is seeing PT as a rookie, how bad do you really think he is?

But let's not let facts get in the way of a good LSU player bashing session.

The Saints suit up 2 real DTs. You dont think theyd love to have another good one?

You normally don't cut your 1st and 2nd rounders. 3rd on to 7th, you better get noticed or you're ghost town.

I think the Saints basically thought they had 4 DTs that were better than Woods (Ellis, Ayodele, Hargrove, and Pressley) and Pressley was already gonna take up a practice squad spot

They didn't see enough to keep him around. No reports of disciplinary problems.

I love when people just throw random "facts" up on the internet! He was offered a spot on the practice squad and turned them down He felt he would have a better opportunity to play somewhere else, and obviously he made the right choice. It is time to stop spreading the lies and get your story straight.
