So, in other words, you are saying LSU goes to a BCS bowl at 11-1 REGARDLESS of what happens in today's game. I agree. It doesn't matter who wins today in that regard.

wait, what? If Auburn wins and loses the SECCG, LSU might get left out. How was that not clear?

Probably been said, but oh well:

You should root for Auburn to lose. If Auburn wins today and loses to South Carolina, then you don't make a BCS game. If Auburn loses, then you'll make a BCS game, no matter what, and would have a slim shot at the title game, if Auburn loses both games.

Oops. Sorry.

But I don't agree with this. In the above scenario, Auburn drops below LSU, provided LSU beats Arkansas.

ETA: has a team ever won a game and dropped two spots?

It looks like Boise (with a win over Nevada) would surely jump TCU (even if they beat New Mexico). But if LSU wins impressively at Arkansas, could the Tigers also jump TCU?

The truth is that AU most likely won't lose to SC in the SECCG...

AU would be ahead in the computers only needing 40% of voters to say "I am going to put the 12-1 SECW Champs over the 11-1 SECW runner ups that they beat".

Doesn't us only losing by 7 to AU and Bama slaughtering AU, while we beat Bama have any kind if pull with the voters? I mean in the end, we would be kept out of this by 7pts...

I just think we will remain the top 1-loss team in the country with a 10+ pt win over Arkansas, even if AU wins the SECCG... That's why it's better to lose earlier than later.

The SEC should now certainly be eliminated from any BCSCG consideration.

Auburn would drop more than 3 slots with a loss to SC.

But it's all a moot point. It is obvious who the powers that be want to win today.

I think we can all agree that the path of least resistance for LSU to get to a BCS bowl is if Auburn wins out and we beat Arky.

Auburn loses today and beats USCe auburn goes to the sugar bowl (if not NC).

Auburn wins today and loses to USCe, USCe gets sugar bowl (the sugar bowl HAS to take SEC champ UNLESS they got to the NC) and we would probably be behind Auburn in the pecking order. Either way bye bye BCS bowl.

Best case scenario, Auburn wins out, we beat Arky

By all means, if AU won out including today's game, then they deserve the NC...

Danielson said a convincing win over Auburn would probably jump LSU over TCU (providing we win tomorrow). Did I hear that correct? If this is the case, Bama better blow out Auburn.

(a) he said it is "possible"
(b) he didn't give any reason, just talked out of his arse.
