Kevin Faulk in a landslide IMO because he was part of the beginning pieces for LSU to become a powerhouse again. Peterson is probably top 5 in recent history and arguably the best defensive recruit we've ever had.

PP is the best recruit. Kevin Faulk was great, but his significance is extremely overrated.

There was a young man recruited to play TB, and played CB where he became a three time All American, and returned punts and maybe the best overall player LSU ever had, by the name of Tommy Casanova. He has to be mentioned as one of the best recruits ever.

it's hard to overstate the symbolic impact of getting faulk at that time.
PP's great, but faulk went a long way to exercising the demons of the dark days.

PP is great, but he is not even the greatest DB of this decade. That distinction belongs to Laron Landry.

PP vs Laron...hmmm...Laron a better hitter/tackler and PP is a shutdown corner with ball skills. PP has more to offer with punt and kickoff returns so narrowly PP beats out Laron.

No kidding. To think the signing that most helped to turn around the program is overrated is plain foolish.

When we landed him I said he was one of the most important recruits in LSU history because he was a superstar get out of Florida that all three instate schools wanted, along with USC and everyone else.
Kevin Faulk may be the most important recruit in LSU history for being instrumental in locking down the state and resurrecting the program.
But Peterson may be number two for his role in expanding our recruiting base and showing other OOS kids that they can make the long trip and have a great experience.

That's a damn good one. And Cannon and Tittle too.

Sorry but that title is reserved for Art Cantrelle. The man was legendary mean.

Id perrilloux was a solid recruit. Stolen from Texas.

Stealing PP from living on the beach in Miami with beautiful women everywhere to come to BR with all the grenades was no easy task

Sol Graves in 1985...he had broke the national high school passing records at Ouachita Christian.
