LSU would have to find an offense, but stranger things have happened!

If LSU dominates Ole Miss and Ark, while AU lays an egg at Bama, could the voters think LSU is better now, and AU is worse now? ...and thus put LSU at 4 and AU at 5 or 6?

FWIW, i think Oregon drops 1 which opens up the BCSCG.

This would important for LSU to at least make a BCS game in the event that USCe wins the conference.

Your forgetting the SECCG which if Auburn were sitting right behind us would hurdle them over us in the BCS race.

auburn could fall behind us after they lose to bama but they would jump right back over us after they beat USC

if a 1 loss team made the title and us and auburn was still had 1 loss auburn would make it over us

they beat us and they won the SEC

example LSU and Georgia 2007

LSU was undefeated in regulation football that season.

the more important note from that season is that we lost our last game of the year then won the SEC championship and that propelled us to the national championship. The same would happen this year if Auburn lost to Bama if a 1 loss team would make it.

Was Georgia ranked ahead of LSU in the BCS standings prior to that SEC Championship game?

only if both bosie and TCU get upset we probably don't make the title I don't see the human polls putting us over then for the title.

well if Oregon losses we could make it.

Most likely the Orange Bowl against the ACC Champ if the top five remain the same in the BCS. If Wisconsin, Stanford, or Nebraska win out, they could jump LSU and get selected.

Actually, scratch the last part. If Wisconsin wins out, they'll go to the Rose Bowl and if Nebraska wins out, they'll go the Fiesta, and if Stanford wins out, also Rose Bowl (assuming Oregon makes it the National Championship.
