Im going to the Brookhaven Academy vs River Oaks MAIS AA South State finals game tonightin Brookhaven with my cousin, and I have heard there has been a lot of talk about this kid.

My cousin has been saying how Brookhaven Academy fans and officials have been trying to get this man ruled ineligible because he supposedly Graduated from West Monroe HS last year and is playing a 5th year of HS ball.

Is there any truth to this or is it just Brookhaven Aca. Fans talking out of their arse???

TIA

In Louisiana once you reach 6th grade you only have 6 years left to play. This was put in place to stop holdbacks, which it didn't. Anyway, you can't turn 19 before September 1st either. Teshadi played at WM, but was just a junior last year. Not sure if he failed before/after 6th grade or what exactly happened, but he DID NOT graduate from WM.

Also, they won't use him much. Highly disappointed in the way he's been used at RO. I've watched a couple of their games and they just give him draws out of the shotgun. I didn't see any screens, tosses outside, really anything for him. Sucks because the kid is ridiculous with the ball in his hands.

One of the best highschool highlights I have seen.

He did not graduate from WM... He would have been too old by a few days to play football at WM this year (LHSAA). However, MAIS age rules allow him to play. I believe MAIS is 19 before August and LHSAA is 19 before September.

I agree JJ,

I can not believe Talton did not get as many runs as I thought he would. That kid has pure talent. Will Vincent Moore be back?

Not true at all. Otherwise, Mickey Johnson is ineligible.

They have been giving him the ball alot more in the playoffs. He had that injury problem after that first home game so they were trying to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

he has about 400 yards in the first two playoffs games.

It is.
He is playing his fourth year of high school ball. the birthdya part messed him up and his mom wanted him to graduate highschool instead of getting a ged. He is a great kid and It should be a great game tongiht

All I saw in that video was the greatest lineman to ever come out of WM, Dylan Day.

Hannah is one of the better coaches in the state. He knows what he is doing with Talton. He is not going to make the offense one-dimensional with nothing but Talton.

I was the game Talton had a 75 yd punt return for a TD. Vincent Moore was dressed out and was a captain but didn't play.

Not saying they should be 1 dimensional, but they had ZERO plays designed for him. Literally they just gave him the ball on draws out of the shotgun. Now their boy Vincent Moore on the other hand???? A multitude of different looks with different screens, reverses, pass plays, etc. to make sure to get him the ball. The fans were pretty adamant about "not needing a WM kid to win" in the 2 games I attended.
