It would be great, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up so the letdown won't be as bad.

nothing is going to happen this season.

if/when something happens it will be after the season.

You're probably right, but I wouldn't be too sure of this.

Given how fresh the Reggie Bush stuff is, I think they are trying to expedite what they can. If they have enough to rule him illegible and AU has to forfeit games, and they know at least that much for sure before the SECCG or the NC, I could see them declaring that and adding, but the investigation is still ongoing.

They don’t have to have everything finished. If they have enough to state the above for sure, anything else would just be adding to what the schools might face as penalties. I would think the NCAA wants to avoid declaring this the day after the SECCG or right after the NC. It would make the whole season for all schools a waste.

But it all depends on when they have what evidence.

We lost on the field get over it. The more people like you cry over the eligibility crap, the more we look like Ole Miss fan. What are we going to do next hang an SEC West banner with an asterisk.

Is that a question or a statement?

Wait -- if Auburn literally bought their way into contention, that we lost on the field should be set aside. Sure, we would have preferred a field win -- but I don't think there is anything wrong with holding a person or institution accountable. I am of the belief the NCAA may expedite their ruling to avoid another BUSH HEISMAN scenario. We will see.

this is true, anyone would lose on the field if 4-5 high quality recruits from other states (LA, ARK, etc) somehow all picked auburn becau$e of some shady shite.

You're talking about Newton, Fairly, Dyer, and Reed?

We were also playing against a team that had a professional athlete at quarterback. If Alabama signed Drew Brees next year, would you feel that it would be a cheap win if the NCAA made them forfeit that game?

Drew Brees? Really? If you think Cam is the only player who is paid in NCAA football your kidding yourself

I love how people bring this up as if it somehow makes the situation under discussion okay. That kind of rationalization and justification doesn't fly in the real world, and it shouldn't fly in collegiate sports.

If the SEC lets Auburn move on as if nothing has happened and the wins are vacated in April, then everyone involved with the decision at the SEC offices should loose their jobs.

Thread fail.

Forfeit =/= Vacate.

Learn the difference. LSU's loss will be in the books forever. Auburn's win should be written in pencil.

We lost to Auburn. Not matter what happens to Cam, they still beat us on the field.
