miles teams don't crush inferior opponents. just not his style. (not a criticism, just an observation).

but at least we can beat some of the big boys. this is far better than teams that would crush the minors by 42 points and then lose by 28 to conference opponents.

this week will be different. I expect 40+ pts. The D won't give up more than 13.

I hope this game is over by halftime just so alot of the young guys can get it. But this team will have a Major Hangover this weekend.

Id like to see a heavy heavy dose of the running backs. Ridley gets 140+ on 12 carries and the other guys run run run for a total of 200+ yards.

Miles teams with good offenses do:

2005 North Texas 56-3
2006 ULL 45-3
2006 Tulane 49-7
2006 Fresno 40-6
2007 MIddle Tennesee 44-0
2007 Tulane 34-9
2007 La Tech 58-10

When he's had the ability to, he's skulldragged the shitty teams we've played. It's just the offense the last 2+ years isn't going to blow out anybody.

I just want to get a win and get on to Ole Piss. I would not be surprised if they have mixed in basic schemes for Ole Miss and Arkansas this week.

i think we'll beat ULM by at least 13-20 points. the team wont be as hyped up as they were for bama but they will take care of business. hopefully no injuries!

It will be very difficult to NOT have a letdown.

I'm thinking something along the lines of the McNeese game, where we pull away late.

Can't see ULM getting to double figures unless we turn the ball over. I like LSU, 37-7.

Heck, even Dinardo's teams were able to hang 50+ on non-conference team at least once per year.. Why can't we do it now with superior talent. Personally, as long as you run your normal offence, its not running up the score. Now if you are keeping your starters in while being up 52-7, then that is embarrasing to all involved. Plus it does not give the 2nd team experience for later. If you wait until you control the game in the 4th quarter, you are not doing anything positive for the non-starters. They are playing against the opponents second team most likely, so it does not prepare them for anything. Get up early, get the non-starters in and they will at least see the starters of an opponent for a quarter or two.. just my 2 cents.

That being said, I see a 35-13 win this weekend.. Not a blowout by standard definition, but a decent win.

I agree with the letdown comment. If anyone can figure out how to get 18-22 year old kids to get motivated to play a game like this after the adrenalin rush of last week, please let me know. Oh, and we have Ole Miss next week. Now, I know they are down this year, but don't you think the players remember getting beat down by them two years ago and, of course, what happened last year?

I'm thinking this will be a pretty lackluster effort, leading to a 27-10 kind of win. It might 10-7 at halftime. Just saying. Let's just make sure we get the win and move on.

I'd like to see RS, Blue, Ford, and Ware get more PT and rest up Ridley for next weekend. I want Ridley to run for 200 on Ole Piss!

I would love to see TC get in a series at the end.

Their run D is terrible. Gave up 242 last week to FIU. Their leading rusher is the QB and he only has 309 yards. This is Miss St without talent and we beat them by 22 with basically defense and special teams. So I say we beat ULM by 30 and If the offense shows, by 42-50.

The defense just seems to improve every week. ULM won't score. You will see a heavy dose of running backs all night.

I agree, he clearly said in the postgame interviews that he does what is needed to win the game as a priority.

In my eyes this is prep for LSU winning against ULM but not blowing them out and spending some of this week planning for Ark.
