That should put them behind a couple of 1-AA leagues (Colonial and SoCon, maybe Big West, too)

has McNeese this weekend.

Just another program that's going to be shitty once they move up to I-A. For the life of me, I can't understand why these teams keep moving up.

It's a big school in the heart of Texas, that's why.

Coker is going to own that league.

Boy, they lose Boise, Nevada and Fresno and add these scrubs?

This may now begin to rival the Sun Belt for worst FBS conference EVAR

Give me a break. If that were the case, they'd be winning conferences left and right. McNeese owns the SLC.

Coker isn't going to do shite at UTSA.

They were obviously added for potential and their market; not their performance.

FBS money is greater than FCS money. Non-football sports are funded better this way.

TSU will get probably two big pay checks each year visiting big stadiums; in FCS, that opportunity is much less common.

UTSA, sure...but I don't think anyone is adding Texas St for the San Marcos market.

San Marcos isn't far from Austin and San Antonio and it has a ton of alumni. It certainly helps.

Mountain West, as soon as they figure out when Fresno and Nevada are joining. The schedule is unbalanced as it is now (10 teams vs. 11--allows 5 home and 5 away--reason the MWC had 9 teams for so long).

UTEP people are tired of all the flights to East Carolina, Marshall, UCF, etc., for all their other sports. Much closer to Fort Worth, Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Laramie, etc. Plus the MWC is pretty much guaranteed BCS money with Boise and TCU. C-USA will never get there.

So does mwc want utep? I would think so, and frankly, I'm surprised they weren't in the original mwc.

But will they really want the Ruston market?
