A soft schedule is a soft schedule. If I am wrong I'll eat the crow but we will see.

Looks like they have only given up 3 sacks this year

there is a differnce between winning close games vs a soft schedule and beating the crap out of everyone. Boise and TCU are clearly much better than their schedules. Hawaii was not necessarily. In any event, why do you discount Utah vs Bama? Hate these teams all you want, but they are pretty good. The idea that they are vastly inferior because of their schedules is stupid at this point. They shown they can beat anyone. Boise beat VT, they are the front runners in a BCS Conference.

Yep, and that was like savoring a fine wine....enjoyed every minute of it.

Edit: BTW, I do like Utah, they have a good, sound team..didn't show it this weekend against TCU but it's always fun to watch them pound the crap out of BYU - I can't stand BYU and their "sense of entitlement" attitude. They're pulling a Notre Dame and going independent in football next year...it'll be fun to watch them squirm in agony.

no you are not, you are exposing your igornace. Hawaii had many close games against a weak schedule, Boise is destroying everyone. Funny that you ignore Utah-Bama which was more recent than Hawaii-UGA. Hawaii was a fraud, Boise is not. They may not be able to run the table on LSU's schedule, but they can win 1 game.

While I admit Boise is much better than that Hawaii team was and I always knew that Hawaii team would get destroyed by a real team (and did), the Utah-Bama comparison is not a good one at all.

First off, Bama looked like they didn't even want to be there after going undefeated into the SECCG and losing their MNC shot when they lost to Florida. They looked completely unmotivated. Secondly, Saban has a history of losing to vastly inferior teams (UAB, ULM, etc.); I didn't expect them to lose, but in hindsight I'm not surprised.

Les on the other hand has a history of his teams playing great with extra time to prepare, particularly in the bowl games where we have destroyed teams in 4 of 5 of them, with the only loss coming on the worst field I have ever seen played on. He also doesn't lose to teams like that (yea I realize we lost some SEC games we shouldn't have, but it's still the SEC not the WAC).

As such, I think Boise would score a bit, but would be outmanned and we would again throttle an opponent in a bowl game 31-10.

Its very possible LSU could beat them handily, but it could also be close. Excuses for Bama aside, a undefeated Boise, not in the BCS CG would be extremly motivated, like UGA was in 2007, especially if TCU were to make the BCS CG. They are not Hawaii, comparisons to that team are bogus.

I don't want us to play Boise (or TCU for that matter).
It is a no-win situation for us.
Plus, even though they are a good team, they don't deserve to play in a BCS game because of their putrid schedule. Being in another BCS game would contribute to their legitimacy. Let them join the PAC-10, Big-12, or Big-10 and run the gauntlet. Until then, frick them.
I can't imagine why any big time recruit would want to go there and play that pussy schedule on that ugly blue turf.

And LSU wouldn't? In a season where most picked us to finish 4th and lose AT LEAST 3-4 games, plus all the "fire Les" ramblings and media criticism this season, you don't think making it into a huge game like the Sugar Bowl and having the opportunity to silence the critics by taking out another of the media darlings would be some incentive for our team to come out and play their asses off. A 12-1, Sugar Bowl winning season would be wildly successful considering preseason expectations.

sure, it wouldn't be like Bama missing out on the NC. But not the same as UGA or Boise thinking they got the shaft. Could be a good game. 2nd half vs Bama asie, LSU's offense is still spotty.

I agree, it really depends on us. If that second half was a sign of things to come and we do similar things in the final 3 games, I'd have confidence in a beatdown going into a game vs Boise. If it was just a flash in the pan, I think it could be close.

The one thing that sticks out for me here is the lack of defense that these teams play.

I still feel like playing the TCU's and Boise's of the world is a lose-lose for AQ's.

Can we really expect Boise or TCU fans to travel well to a BCS game? For Christ's sake, TCU has fewer than 9,000 students. A TCU/Boise v LSU Sugar Bowl would be a home game, much more so than the ND/tOSU games in the Superdome...

Gentlemen,

You can forget about OSU, they'll get it in Iowa City in two weeks. Wisky to the Rose and Sugar would love to have the Hawks who travel quite well.

Sparty goes down in Happy Valley last week of the season.

Man, Stanford would get screwed in that scenario

Maybe they end up with a spot instead of Boise?

Boise so called high powered offense would look silly against the LSU D.
