I see posters using the term "MNC". Please stop using that term. The "MNC" went away when the BCS was created.

Until polls have no influence and the NCAA officially recognizes a champion, the 'M' belongs.

The NCAA doesn't recognize Division 1 National Championships in football on the official website. So technically it is mythical.

Until there's a playoff, the "M" stays.

The winner of the BCS National Championship Game isn't technically guaranteed "the championship"
