First of all, congrats on a big win yesterday. I know there is talk that if things play out certain ways, LSU could make it into the MNC. However, what do you guys think the possibilities of an all SEC MNC are? Say Oregon drops one of their games and Auburn and LSU win out. Does LSU jump Bosie and TCU? I think they easily jump Boise, and could jump TCU. Thoughts?

Oregon, TCU, Nebraska, and probably Boise would all have to lose. Even then 1-loss Oregon could make things interesting

A one loss Nebraska as big 12 champion poses a bigger problem than an undefeated Boise or TCU or even a one loss Oregon team.

TCU probably goes over Nebraska. Boise is a problem. Oregon could be a problem.

Maybe, but the media is pumping LSU right now. I know how they change favorites from week to week. Hell, Iowa ST almost knocked of Nebraska yesterday. I still don't think either could jump LSU if they win out.

No way a one loss Oregon gets close to making the MNC.

To answer my own question, no, the MWC does not have a conference CG.

TCU's remaining schedule is as follows:

Week 11 -- vs. (7-2) SDSU
Week 12 -- OPEN DATE
Week 13 -- at (1-8) NM

EDIT: SDSU actually has a really good team this year.

Only reason it wouldnt, the voters will manipulate it to see that it would not happen, like OSU-Michigan after the 2006 season, when they ended their epic game in Columbus, the country was pretty much certain (save SEC country) that OSU and Michigan were the best two teams. However, the voters purposely moved Florida ahead so Mich didnt have another shot at OSU and the rest was history. The nation will scream LSU had their chance.

Only difference there is that that was the last game of the season. Didn't want to see that game back to back.

If LSU continues to improve and looks impressive against OM and Ark, I could see voters wanting to see a rematch on a neutral field.

I don't think LSU would make it to the NC with one loss not playing in the SECCG.

While LSU's overall record would be excellent, style points do count and LSU doesn't have any.

Additionally, LSU already played Auburn, and given the result I don't see how you could justify giving LSu another shot.

I don't want to see Cam Newton again

Hows about you guys lose a couple and we'll take it from there?

People act like the voters manipulate things to get what they want, but in reality, the overwhelming majority of voters just vote like they would have anyway, with maybe 2 or 3 coaches doing something strange and getting a lot of attention for doing it.

I honestly think we just win out and be happy with a BCS game after this season looked early on. Point is, successful season now!
