Nick Saban or Jim Tressel?

They seem to be mirror images of each other. After watching the game today I noticed a few things. One, LSU is damn good and has one of the best defenses in the country...if not the best. Two, Les Miles out-coached Saban. And three, Saban was too conservative aka Tressel like. Thoughts?

Saban's always been conservative. He relies on his defense.

Tressel is the most conservative coach I have ever seen.

Yes. I was surprised Saban passed at all with a few seconds left. Then again, he did not throw it downfield. He showed LSU, huh?

I'd have to say The Vest; field position, special teams, and defense has been his formula for success.

I feel like Tressel this year is breaking his conservative mold. This team will have the most pass attempts of any under Tressel and our special teams suck

Two completely different coaches with different philosophies...

Saban is an intense, "big game" coach who always has his team prepared for the big games but sometimes loses the locker room after a couple of losses

Tressel is a mediocre coach who will always lose that one big game, and will never lead his team to a NC

You mean in addition to the one he lead his team to in 2002?

Tressel and its not close. Saban is a coach the relies on his defense, but he does gamble more than people realize.

Saban actually makes adjustments and doesn't get confused by complex things such as speed or a blitz
