This was posted on Dandy Don today. If this is true then somebody needs to go. I'm not for replacing Miles because I think it would do more harm to the LSU program than it would help the program, but seriously???

"Good morning, Tiger Fans. Last night I listened to the Les Miles radio talk-show and was very impressed with Coach Miles' recap of the game and the fact that [b]he took blame for not having the team prepared to stop or slow down Cam Newton. [Coach Miles called Newton the best quarterback he has ever played against. Miles said that LSU should have practiced Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on how to slow down Newton."

How do you not prepare to the fullest for the best game of the year at that point with a player who has the ability Newton has. Auburn pulled no punches, LSU Failed.

Because we still have the same dumb arse coach, & the way its going it will probably not change for about 8 more years. Vandy of the west.

Seriously, was that the 1st time you ever heard a HC say something of that nature after a loss???

The best was when he likened tackling Newton to tackling Tebow or a running back. Does he not remeber the last 4 years against Tebow and 2 rounds with DMac? What a dumbass.

Are you seriously actually surprised by this? Coach Miles is always a fail when it comes to talking...to ANYBODY. I read it today on DD too and

If the defense was not practicing to stop Cam Newton at every practice, what the hell were they doing?

Then again most people practice a 3rd & 5 play and a 3rd and 10 play etc. This being said, we should have had a 4th and 6 play that could have been called in the huddle, and executed to the field with perfection, (that does not necessarily mean we get the first down.) but we should have at least been able to run a play that had a chance to get the first.

i think miles has finally "got the picture" and has made up his mind on some coaches that he went the xtra mile for. the dysfunction of this offense 8 games in, esp after last yr, needs to be accounted for. i'd bet 10-1 it will be at yrs end. miles looks like he is big time frustrated. he's a winner and will continue to "work on improvement". i sure hope our team does. it's not just results that piss me off, it's the ALMOST COMPLETE LACK OF BLOCKING on the part of many of the players (esp wr's) and dropping passes that kill any chance we have. we have a mediocre OL and avg (at best) qb's and when you add poor blocking, dropped passes, players not knowing the plays or confused play calling procedures, CROWTON HAS GOT TO GO. maybe others. we need somebody that will teach our wr's how to run routes and block. auburn wr's; they block and their plays work because of it.

John called and said he noticed Jordan Jefferson was late in getting the ball to open receivers which led to several dropped passes. Miles' reply was that the quarterbacks have looked very good in practice getting the ball to the receivers

I really don't care what he says anymore.

It's all about showing improvement in the games and I am not seeing that.

Each week the team has a great practice and everyone is fired up to play according to Miles....then the game happens and the offense plays like garbage again.

not having the team prepared

It's become too familiar.

Every game it's always something. I mean, I know it's not the NFL, but LSU seems to have breakdowns in some area every single game, no matter the competition.

Well, I, for one, am hoping that the administration has "gotten the picture" in regards to Mr. Miles.

I know they have, all they need is an over the shoulder bounce or two, to have the backing.

It would be a shame if the Florida win sets us back several more years, esp. with Florida possibly losing the majority of their SEC games in the process.

What a waste.

WTF!?! He says that after every game. Must be a different LSU team playing on Saturdays than what Miles sees practicing during the week.

Does anyone know why Steve Ensminger isn't coaching QBs or working the passing game?

I know the guy is senile, but FWIW that is a pretty bad misquote.

Miles praised Newton but alluded to the fact that Vince Young is the probably the best QB he has coached against. He basically went on to say that had he known we would whiff on so many tackles, we would have done full pad tackling drills all week.
