all right, guys, them name some football coaches who have it all. i can't name any. even saint nick, who i respect and wish we had, doesn't have it all.
and stats are no indication of whether the team is playing hard or not. not always.
i agree with all of you that i wish miles didn't have some of the glaring deficiencies that he has, but looking at the big picture, who would you get that doesn't?
as for recruiting, we have had lots of coaches who didn't recruit well. no one comes close to saban and miles. they were/are consistent top 5 classes.
dinardo recruited a lot of top guys, but he didn't always recruit enough guys for different positions.
you can find some coaches that we would agree were better than miles. frankly, there aren't that many. their faults would be different and maybe not as embarrassing.
anyway, i'm like you - I can name some coaches i would trade him for. but i admit there aren't that many. and i can see that without a meltdown in the win-loss column he's here for the duration of his K.
