It was at 2:30 in 08. In 07 at Bama, it was at 4.

Yeah if we somehow delay the teams from arriving to the stadium on time. We could form a human barricade so the buses can't get through

Let's just get this out of the way now.

What's the odds of LSU/Ole Miss being a night game?

God I hate CBS, 2:30 games, Verne and Gary! (Does that about cover it?)

I like Gary actually. That probably puts me in the minority here.

League Games That Day:

-Georgia State at Alabama
-Arkansas at Mississippi State
-Auburn BYE
-App State at Florida
-Georgia BYE
-Kentucky BYE
-Ole Miss at LSU
-Troy at South Carolina
-Tennessee at Vanderbilt

We better pray that Arky and Mississippi State both stay ranked....

False. It was still light out at half time. About midway through towards the end of the 3rd I believe is when it got dark and the announcer said that. I flew in for that game and it was definitely at 2:30 because I remember speeding up I-10 to Baton Rouge from the New Orleans airport to make it to Baton Rouge for some tailgating.

CBS sucks. I appreciate the TV contracts--great for the team's exposure to a national audience and the money's probably good. But I detest the fact a bunch of pimple-faced, smooth-talking, ivy-league lawyers (who probably took piano lessons while their pals were getting dirty playing football) run CBS sports and dictate to colleges WHEN they play their games. TV should conform to the existing schedules; football teams shouldn't conform to what the TV execs want. That's a simplistic, idealistic dream, I know.

LSU AD should flat out tell TV execs "LSU plays games in Death Valley at night. No exceptions except maybe for hurricances."

Boy...My sentiments EXACTLY! I wish more than anything that the LSU/Ole Miss game was at night! It's the first game I get to go to in two years, and the last one was held earlier because of TV!!Dang...I want to go to a Saturday Night in Death Valley game!!
That said, it would probably mean that we have slipped in the polls again, or someone in the Lineup has moved way up! Neither of those is very welcome thoughts! but I do wish we had a night game!!!!

We SUCK @ 2:30 and the commentators make love to whatever opponent it is we play home or away. Is it just me or do we kick everybodys arse at 6:45 on ESPN. Seems like every game we play on the 6:45 slot we are primed! 2:30 is dogshit and I think we all concur on that.

That was the game RJF blocked the field goal to send it to overtime. Don't remember for sure, but the announcer may have said it right before OT started??

You do realize that we "suck" at 2:30 because the competition is MUCH better. CBS gets first crack at games so if we get picked for the 2:30 slot, then we have the game of the week (provided all other SEC teams aren't playing OOC opponents that week). The competition we play at night is usually garbage with the occasional night espn game or the one time a year CBS moves a game to primetime.

That' might be partially true; but I think there is a definite mental difference in the atmosphere in Death Valley between day and night games. At night, the crowd is more alive and into the game and the players seem to be more fired up.

LSU should mandate to TV that all home games in B.R. will be played at night. Maybe a few games don't get televised. Big deal. I'd rather LSU win a non-televised night game in D.V. than lose a televised day game.
