I Love Les Miles, I really do. This is a great guy and from all accounts a great authority figure for young men.

That said, I dont want him as our coach. Sorry.

Exactly my point. If it's time he leaves, then so be it. If we do show him the door, at least respond to the outsiders "he still did better than most of your guys did. We just want something different now"

I wanted to respect Les Miles. I tried to respect Les Miles.
So in 2008, we had a dismal defense and after week 1, Les said that he would get it fixed. Week after week after week, he said he would get it fixed. He didn't get it fixed until the next season.
In 2009, we had a dismal offense and after week 1, Les said he would get it fixed. Week after week, he said that he was working on it and week after week he didn't get it fixed. It still hasn't been fixed and he is the laughing stock of the entire country.
Les has become a part of the new lexicon for the meaning of failure. Take your pick- CBS, ABC, or ESPN- when another coach screws up he is said to be having "A Les Miles moment".
When a team becomes confused on the field or they screw up a time management situation, they are instantly compared to Les Miles. It is embarrassing.
I know that Les Miles is a good family man. I know that he is a good recruiter. I don't know if we can get someone better to replace him. I also know that he is faithful to a fault. He is too slow to replace his coaches that just don't measure up.
If he can't find someone competent to replace Crowton- if he can't find a good quarterback or two- he needs to gather up his millions and head on down the road. His pain should be mitigated by a fat bank account.
