4th down and 6 with about 3 min to go..:

Can someone explain it ?
I can see 2 viewpoints---whether I agree or not, but I can not see the execution--- THE ONE WE USED.

I can kicking it away and hope we would stop them.

I can see going for it..if we make it continue to drive and get a score, we may actually win the game....
but why in the hell would we execute choice 2 and not roll-out right (wide side of the field) and try to get the needed 6 - 7 yards...
instead, we went to the short side of the field and seem to look for an outright HOMERUN...stupid.
Had we made 6, we could have also taken time from the clock....

i dont think a single receiver knew which route he was supposed to run OUT OF A TIMEOUT which is pretty inexcuseable. unsurprising nonetheless from a crowton coached offense on a miles coached team.

The thing is, with the timeouts you can certainly kick it. With that said, you're going to have to rely on Helton's slick punting to continue because odds are even if it does, Cam is going to break another 15 yard run (maybe more) forcing you to use another time out on the first down.

I honestly think going for it was the good call, especially since the game was being played at Auburn. We just failed to have a good play (surprise, surprise) and execute. JL did what he could but he simply wasn't fast enough and got 0 help from his blockers.

Lee had no idea what was going on before and during that play.

I think it was another trick play that failed miserably, there is no other excuse. It seemed designed to convey confusion to the opponent, but then LSU failed to execute as happened numerous times during the game.

It's another example of how when you watch a Les Miles coached football team offensively they do things that defy logic. Miles needs to go!!!

It was complete confusion. What I think the play was SUPPOSED to be was going to be open, which makes it worse.

I believe Shep was supposed to streak down the field. Tolliver lined up outside of him was supposed to go 6 (okay, it's crowton, he was supposed to go 4) and then cut to the middle of the field underneath Shep. Right side receivers were there to clear out the LBs for Tolliver to get it over the middle and get the first without an issue.

The problem was Tolliver went 4 and STOPPED instead of cutting in. Peterson went 6 and cut to the right. If he had went left, he was open, but I don't think that was his play.

There was too much confusion, especially coming out of a damn timeout. It was easy to see that none of the eligible receivers had a damn clue what the play was. And that speaks volumes about a certain staff.

If we had Flynn and Hester go for it. So, punt and maybe get a hold, or turn over.

We had to go for it there. We couldn't stop Auburns running all day, so you had to figure we would not get the ball back.

However, the cluster that ensued after the tiemout was vintage Les Miles. I don't care what his overall record is, how many times do we have to see that before we all admit we will never reach our potential as long as he is coaching here.
