More worried about Auburn than Bama

If we can beat Auburn, then I think we will be almost unstoppable in Tiger stadium against Alabama. Once again, if we beat Auburn, the LSU coaches, team and fans will be flying high knowing that we are playing for a possible national title when we meet Bama. We will also have 2 weeks (open date) to prepare for Alabama.
The Auburn game tomorrow is the big one! We must sufficiently beat Auburn enough to overcome their referees, because we WILL get screwed. Based on ample historical fact, the LSU players, coaches and fans know to expect this from the officials at Jordan Hare. We simply must beat the Auburn football team AND the Auburn referees! I predict we will.
Geaux Tigers!

While I want to agree with you the balanced attack of Bama actually scares me more the combination of McElroy, Ingram/Richardson, and Jones makes them more dangerous on offense to us than Auburn. With Auburn if you contain Newton then you contain their whole offense.

I agree with you about the x & o's. I'm basing my comments on more of a "momentum, timing and circumstantial" thing. Momentum and fan enthusiasm (timing) is HUGE when your dealing with college football (kids).

I couldn't agree with you more, i too believe that Auburn is the big one. If we get by Auburn, we can control Alabama running game and the momentum of beating Auburn and the High Wave of Confidence that we will have on our side, will get us by Alabama, especially playiing at home with two weeks to prepare.

I think Alabama has a better team than Auburn. But we're playing AT Auburn and we get the gumps at home. I know what you mean about having the momentum if we beat Auburn and then get two weeks to prepare......Oh, screw it, I don't know which one to worry about more; so I say we just whip both their asses and get ready for Ole Miss.

I agree that if we get by Auburn with the heightened level of confidence that it should make Bama a bit easier especially with the week off.

Bama has a bye before LSU as well.

Alabama has the better overall team, but I'm still more worried about Auburn. Tiger Stadium will be on fire for the Bama game if we beat Auburn. I sure hope Lee looks good again tomorrow. And if Jefferson is not "on" immediately tomorrow, that Miles does not waste downs and series with him. I'm having a hard time reckoning with Miles logic (il-logic) on the QB play. It's just insanity.

After the refs have screwed AU against LSU 2 of the last 3 years, us Aubies feel it is a fact we may have to beat LSU and the Refs tomorrow also.

Hey Miami AU83
It's obvious you did'nt even see the games you mention. Don't guess you saw the extra extra point the Zebras allowed Aubie in 2004 either. Or the 2006 Ref Gate game.
You know not what you speak. It's well known and clear as day what has been going on in Jordan Hare. National article about Arkansas getting hosed last weekend in CFN. I'm not making excuses. I'm stating fact. If LSU is to win, they will have to also beat the referees. LSU fans know and understand this. We're up for the challenge.

LSU will win easily against the Tide. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bama lose all their remaining games besides Tennessee and Georgia Southern. The offense has went into hibernation and the defense doesn't have a clue. Take into account that Saban is leaving for Dallas at the end of the year and this is a team in disarray.

Alabama has a great team and a great coach. I'm proud to have them as a fellow SEC team. Saban will do what's best for Saban. I think Bama will lose to either Auburn or LSU. Could lose to both. May win them both. It's hard to say. May the team that comes best prepared and most eager win. Pray for no injuries and an even/fair officiated game.

Funny how that article ignored the pass interference in the endzone that led to an Arkansas touchdown. Had it been called correctly, it would have been uncatchable.
That article also didn't mention the bad spot Arkansas got on a 4th down play, keeping them alive. Nor did it mention the obvious push-off by Childs on his touchdown reception which wasn't called.
Oh yeah....I forgot. Auburn pays the refs. Maybe some of our checks bounced and that's why they made those bad calls in FAVOR of Arkansas.

I saw every single play of every game. EVERY PLAY. I have not missed a single snap or play in any LSU AU game in many years. I know exactly what I am talking about and remember all the questionable calls for AU and against AU. I can be honest and call it like it is too.
In 2006, LSU got hosed. The worst call was the catch and fumble. It was ruled an incomplete pass, but was a catch and fumble. The PI call was not even PI at all because of the tip. It was actually defensive holding.
In 2007, AU got fricked by the refs bad. I have already posted the examples of the game changing calls that ALL went to LSU.
Last year, 2009 was the biggest joke of all. It was laughable and much much worse than either 2006 or 2007. The refs spotted LSU 14 points with the most ridiculous collection of bad calls in a short period of time I have ever seen. And I have seen and remember a whole HELL of a lot of SEC football.

It also did not mention the ridiculous holding call on Ziemba negating a 30 yard gain and eventual points for AU. It also did not mention the roughing the passer ball call against AU that led to Arky scoring.

Go for it numbnuts. And I will post articles from LSU WEBSITES, admitting the Refs fricked AU against LSU.
