Have been saying Sheppard should spy Newton but PP would work just fine too.

Do you not think doing this the entire game might have an adverse effect on PP's cramping problem?

thats great!!

I don't think its a good idea with Peterson's cramping, for whatever the reason is this week! but i think #11 or #49 could handle it, as long as #49 tapes his fingers to his wrist!

i think a bigger k-shep would be better. newton isnt overly fast- though he is very crafty and shifty in the open field- he tends to run people over for the important yards(getting across the goalline/first down)

just my $.02

Who was the UF guy KS stood up at the line that wiggled past him for the TD? How does that guy compare to fig newton?

why do you say that? PP wasn't trucked by Tebow, and Tebow is a lot stronger than Newton

Tebow couldn't truck Peterson.

Sheppard stood that dude up at the goalline, but then kinda got tripped up inadvertently by a Florida blocker.

I don't know how he would holdup against Newton, but I know that's not a collision Newton wants much a part of either.

Sheppard = 6'3" 240

PP or Craig Loston would take Newton's legs out..

He will probably wish he was a pocket passer after LSU gets down with him running around for his life come Saturday.

Well that's good. Because I believe we have the defense that doesn't need to spy.

Gary Danielson? If he was on the Finebaum show it was probably just a cover to act as a peacemaker between Finebaum and Verne. Those two are probably at each other's throats over their respective man crushes on Saban.

I said the other day that I could live with "man up" by Claiborne and Tyrann, with Peterson shadowing the QB. I could imagine Tyrann blitzing with Peterson falling back into coverage. Overall, I like the concept. Peterson speed and size (6-1, 221) with reinforcements following closely behind. If the QB drops for a pass, send in Peterson.
