No one in this thread will change my mind. I've done my homework and I'm prepared to live or die with the decisions I have to decided to make this week.
I am starting Brandon Jacobs over Ryan Mathews. I am starting Kenny Britt over Roddy White. And Brent Celek over Witten.
My reasoning...Detroit is 30th in the league in rush defense. I know I know Jacobs ain't even the starter. But I feel with a backup QB and Megatron banged up it's gonna lead to a lot of short fields for the GMen. And hopefully Goalline situations.
Jacksonville is 32nd in fantasy points given up to WR's. I know I know it's Vince Young though. But Britt has TD receptions in what 3 straight games ? Also can White really keep double digit scoring going in 6 straight games ? Matt Ryan on the road is always a suspect game for him anyways. Add in the fact Asante Samuel is back and I'm going with my gut on this one.
Celek over Witten is not that big of a deal. Of course on ESPN fantasy they project Witten at 14 points and Celek at 10. I picked Celek up for this one game. As soon as Vick is back I'm cutting him. But look at what the Falcons have been given up defensively to TE's...Minus the Arizona cause frankly they have no TE, 29 catches 250 yards in four 4 games. Not bad stats but not good either. Figuring with Kolb and Celeks recent little run here it could be good.

Well good luck.
I did this last week with CJ Spiller over Cedric Benson and Lance Moore over Malcolm Floyd.
Benson and Floyd put up a combined 50+.
I don't think Spiller + Moore even got 10.

If you sit Roddy White, smack yourself. He is the most targeted WR in fantasy second to maybe Miles Austin.

Second to T.O. if you can believe that...

This is pretty much the question for every participant every week.

You get to start two wide recievers... who in the hell are you starting over Roddy in the second slot?
ETA: Celek is actually a really good play with Kolb no question.
Matthews is not consistent so that is where you do have wiggle room to be creative

I've been playing FF since 1995 (maybe it was 1996). Every time I have gotten too cute like this I have gotten slaughtered.

You never been your studs
It is an unwritten fantasy rule you should follow
R White not in your lineup=just dumb

T.O. is going to be my trade bait for a good rb soon. I have roddy white as well with driver as my 3rd. I'm wondering who I can get for him if he puts up another good week...although if he puts up consistent numbers I'm not sure I want to get rid of him...
But yeah, T.O. does have the most targets...very surprisingly.

T.O.'s production depends on Dr. Jekyll Mr. Palmer... Its obvious he still has the skills to be a dominant receiver, but Carson comes out some Sundays looking like a Derek Anderson. They're also in a tough division. One more decent game this Sunday from T.O. and I'd try to move him.

I was thinking T.O. for L.T. straight up but I don't think the guy would bite

Kenny Britt has scored a TD in each of his last three games. However, in the first two of those games he had a total of 5 receptions. Thus, 2/5 receptions were TDs. He also had less than 30 yards receiving in both of those games. I don't see him continuing to get TDs. Besides, those first two games he still had less than 10 points even with the TDs. Roddy is good for 10+ every week.
Come on, man.

Keshawn says........."Come ON maaaaannnnnn"
Sitting Roddy White
My starting receivers are:
H. Nicks
B. Marshall
A. Boldin
If I had White, I would start him.

Yea, I have Reggie Wayne and Roddie White on one of my teams and I just start them every week regardless of matchups. Has worked out pretty well thus far as I am undefeated in that league. Right now, there are very few receivers I would trade Roddie for. He hasn't scored more than 16 points in a game yet for me this season, but he hasn't scored less than 10 either. Dude is money.
And to the OP, FWIW, Britt is a free agent in that league and I have no interest in picking him up.

roddy has had between 13-19 points in my league every single game. Non PPR. He gets his. Never sit roddy. He's going to have a beastly year...hopefully.
Posted on 10/15/10 at 10:17 am to Brageous
I just traded for Roddy and he will never leave my starting lineup... To consistant
Posted on 10/15/10 at 10:36 am to MrPappagiorgio
