bigwigs going into the season.

NO is 3-2

That are the same as NO:
Green Bay = 3-2
NYG = 3-2
Washington = 3-2
Arizona = 3-2

That are better than NO:
Dallas = 1-3
Minny = 1-2
San Fran = 0-4

There are only three teams with better records in the NFC at this point and we get to play Tampa twice and Atlanta.

The Bears won't stay that high for long.

In the end, the whole conference is shitting the bed.Beng

Hell, look at the AFC:
Indy = 3-2
San Diego = 2-3 (just lost to the Raiders)
Bengals = 2-3 (just lost to Tampa Bay)

Our offense has definitely played like shite and only 1 bad game by the defense (against SF), but things will change.

Don't panic.

absolutely not

to say any team is clearly the best, or head and shoulders above anyone else right now is absurd

As a whole, this is one strange season, but A LOT of teams are struggling, including teams that many expected to do extremely well; especially in the NFC.

The Saints are 3-2 and not playing very well, but if they can get to clicking again, they are right in the hunt, just like everybody else.

i hate these threads, i dont care what the rest of the NFC is doing.

Like it somehow makes the Saint's struggles OK.

thats not the point...its that even though we've looked shitty, there is still plenty of hope seeing as how no one has looked great

obviously the bullshite of the first 5 games needs to be addressed

Whats the point then?

i have hope because i know what these guys are capable of.

but it has nothing to do with what other teams are doing. That doesnt mean shite

you wouldnt have less hope if, for instance, the falcons were undefeated and dominating people?

Saints have played extremely poorly. Mostly on offense as the defense has played well outside of pitiful blitzing calls/execution.

I am stating this more for people calling the season over.

Hell, the Cowboys in one of the 90's super bowl years started out 0-2 partially because of injuries and lack of chemistry only to turn it around and win it again.

The OL is playing like shite and without focus and the coaching has been pathetic by Payton. They still are 3-2 and have time to right the ship.

agree. if we would quit shooting ourselves in the foot, we would be just that much farther ahead of the competition. right now it's moot.

What matters is that the saints are 2 full games behind the falcons due to the tiebreaker

Yep I agree.. We should be taking advantage of the rest of the NFC's struggles. Which would make it easier for us later in the year...

See a very heated push for playoff spots late in the season should be fun.

Saints aren't even a THIRD of the way through the season. It's a long season. There will be plenty of time to panic later on.

For now, they need to get people healthy. They look out of sync, possibly because of new personnel thrown into the breach. If this team were at full strength and struggling like this, I'd be worried.

Atlanta looks better than us BUT remember we have a ton of impact-players out right now...

It does not justify the shitty play of the Saints... BUT come December and January, these losses by the rest of the "elite" NFC teams WILL HELP US... KEEP THE FAITH

This reminds me... My 12 year old brings home a D. "Her answer is either, well its not an F at least or she says everyone else got bad grades too". Either case doesn't help her cause.
